All runners are required to attend Package Pick-up to collect their runner package that will include your timing chip and runners gift. Details on Package Pickup location and timing will be emailed to you.

I am not from Young. Where should I stay? What else is there to do in Young?

Young is a beautiful country town and November is the start of the Cherry Harvest so it is a perfect time to visit. VisitYoung has plenty of information on where to stay and what to do.

Can I bring my dog or my pram?

For the safety of all runners and spectators please leave your furry friends at home. Babies and prams are more than welcome to attend- please be mindful of other runners on the course. Note that children under 5 are free- however this means they will not get a runners package.

There will be parking available at Sawpit Gully (an oval located adjacent to Chinamans Dam- it is a 5 minute walk to the start area). There will be volunteers assisting with parking. If possible please carpool with friends as parking is limited.

The start/finish area and the intersection of Pitstone Road and Kellys Road are the best places to support the runners. Please be mindful to stay off the course and respect the participants.

What prizes are on offer?

We cant give away all the surprises! Rest assured there will be plenty on offer for all runners wether you win a category or not!

What happens at the conclusion of the race?

Once the Cherry Chase 5km and 10km events has been run and won, we invite you to stay behind and enjoy some local entertainment on the shores of beautiful Chinamans Dam. Kick back and chat with your fellow competitors and spectators and enjoy the great food and music on offer.
